Question Hi
I'm 14 and play the oboe. Im grade 5 standard. I was wondering if you could give me details of any oboe courses in the uk?
Thanks
jess
Answer Jess
I don't have a great number of courses at my finger tips I'm afraid.
You could try Gloucestershire Double Reed Day, but the standard may be a bit high for you. This is on 29th June so you would have to act fast. Go on the website and find it there. Email the organiser on graeme@cue-music.co.uk
Dartington is open to all grades but is over 5 weeks all told. 26 July - 30 August 2008
Try them on the web:
Dartington International Summer School
The Marches Oboe School 30 July - 3 August 2008 may be a bit advanced also but you could try them
The Marches Oboe School Summer Course, Presteigne, Powys, Wales. Further details are available from Hilary Storer on hilarystorer@tiscali.co.uk.
Not a lot of help really. Sorry. There just aren't many around for your age range at this time of the year you see.
