Question
I found an old oboe in a cupboard recently.  The number on it is VP 17857.   It is a Linton model.  Can you give me an estimate as to how old it is and what it's value is?

Answer
Dear Derek

Could you send me a few pictures please to my website email:

geoffrey@geoffreybridgeoboe.com

I wll then have a better idea of an age for you. The serial numbers are not unfortunately a great help with this brand.
