Occupational (OSHA) and Environmental Hazards/Hot work activity/welding & cutting

For hot work activity like gas cutting & welding nearby fuel oil tank loaded with oil. What is the allowable safe distance from the tank if you do hot work.

John, great question.  NFPA recommends a 35 foot rule for flammable and combustible material to be removed for Hot Works Permits.  NFPA 51B is the standard.  I hope this answers your question.  If you have further questions or need any additional information, do not hesitate to contact me.  Thanks
