Question
What is the difference between dolphins and porpoises?

Answer
Hi Ros
Porpoises have spade-shaped teeth, dolphins have cone-shaped teeth.  Porpoises are smaller and are most often in the southern hemisphere.  They are also in different Family classifications. They cannot interbreed and produce viable offspring.  People call dolphins porpoises all the time but they are completely different animals.  Hope that helps
Lindsey
