Question
how much a minimum quantity of LPG(liquid propane gas)ship can carry to another country?
My seller told me 'I have to increase the volume from 5000 mtonne to 100,000 mtonne. he said 5000 mtonne is too small for a ship that big, it will cost a fortune to send small volume, I dont know if he is telling the truth or he just want increase his sale? is there are small ships available who can deliver 5000 mtonne? plz advise. thanks

Answer
Hello Ozziee

Here is some info for you to consider.
1. There are 1,835 liters per metric tonne of LPG
2. Ocean shipping of LPG is measured in CBM (cubic meter)
3. 1 CBM of LPG is 35 Cubic Feet
4. 1 Kg of LPG weighs 47lbs

With these figures in mind go to this site
http://www.j-lauritzen.com/LauritzenFleetManagement/Fleet%20list.aspx

Determie which ship will fit your bill, and give them a call.

Hope this helps, let me know if it does
