Expert: David Traugott Date: 6/18/2008 Subject: Natural Gas Exploration???????
Question Hi David. I would like to know the process of exploring for natural gas on my vacant 32 acres in south Louisiana? I was told from my dad that the neighbors of this land( some 50-60 years ago), heated their house from gas coming from a pipe he drilled on his property...... I really think there is gas under this land..... I just don't know the process I would have to go through or the contacts! Thanks for your help! Ed.
Answer The process is quite involved and can get expensive in a hurry. Perhaps the best option for you would be to hire a turnkey operator to drill some wells; here are some links.
