Oil/Gas - Entireities Clause in an Okla lease
Expert: Laura M. FitzGerald, CPL - 10/29/2009
Question Can you give me a brief description of an "entireties clause" in an Oklahoma lease?
Answer The Entirety Clause found in some oil and gas leases benefits the Lessee to make it clear to the Lessor that if the lands covered by the lease are now or in the future owned in separate tracts, the lease will continued to be administered by the Lessee as one lease. The obligations of the Lessee will not be enlarged, such as the several owners requiring to be paid 100% of the payments due under the lease without regard to the other owners of the remaining tracts in the original lease.
