Oil/Gas - Gas usage from sales line

Expert: Laura M. FitzGerald, CPL - 10/6/2009

Question
I currently have gas sales or gathering lines on my property as well as wells.  Can my producer sell me gas due to having lines and wells on the property?

Answer
This all depends on what the lease you entered into for this property sets out.  If this is one of the provisions of your lease, then certainly so.

Just because lines and wells are located on your property does not mean the Producer will sell a private landowner the oil or gas.  As a matter of fact, I've never heard of it.
