Oil/Gas - Mineral LEase

Expert: Laura M. FitzGerald, CPL - 10/30/2009

Question
Wyoming Weston County--I own net 2 acres and have been notified they want to flood the land.  What dollar amount would be logical for a lease for 5 years? Thank you very much.

Answer
Sir, I am not familiar with the market in this area - I suggest you check with some of your neighboring landowners and see what they have been offered.
I would also suggest that you not accept their first offer, but try and raise the offer a little higher.
