Question I currently have my land(5 acres) lease to EOG in Parker County, TX. They want to amend my lease to remove the verbaige of "Pool-All" . The back 30 feet of the property are supposly out of the pool and they want me to amend so it will not be including in the royality payments. My question is, if i choose to sign the amendment do I have the right to ask to be fairly compensated?
Answer In order for me to draw a conclusion on this and determine what your rights are - I must review the lease in its entirety. In the alternative, the landman asking you to execute the amendment should explain all this to you. That is the obligation he has to you.
