Oil/Gas - Royalty Deeds
Expert: Laura M. FitzGerald, CPL - 10/27/2009
Question I have in my possession 10 Royalty Deeds assigned to me September 1, 1970. Per the Royalty Deeds I am assigned an overriding royalty equal to One-half of one percent (1/2 of 15), of the market at the wells as produced of all of the oil and gas and other hydrocarbon substances which may be produced, saved and marketed from lands situated in the County of Chaves, state of New Mexico to wit:
The properties are located in Township 9 south, Range 22 East, New Mexico Principle meridian.
How do I capitalize on these Royalty Deeds?
Any help rendered would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your time and indulgence.
Respectfully,
Rogers
Answer
Dear Sir -
One of the things you could do to capitalize on these Royalty Deeds is sell your interest. Are you interested in doing that? If so, if so, if you will fax me, at 318-219-2466 or email me at lfitzgerald@iliosresources.com; the Royalty Deeds I can get an offer for you -
Otherwise, an Overriding Royalty Interest Owner is a 'passive owner' and does not have the right to grant Oil, Gas and Mineral Leases.
I hope this provides you with some assistance.
If you send a fax, be sure and put: Attention: All Experts on there.
