Oil/Gas/Trees accidentally cut down

Question
An oil company just cleared some trees from my neighbors' property so they could install gas piping in the ground but they came on my property and accidentally cut down 38 of my trees. The property is in Pennsylvania. What is the oil company responsible for ? Do they have to pay me for damages? Who can I contact? Is there laws for this situation?

Answer
They are responsible for getting you back to where you were prior to the mishap.  If the trees were small then they can just buy new ones to replace the ones they cut; however, if they were mature trees, then someone (perhaps a judge) needs to decide how much you should be compensated.  I suggest that you contact an attorney.
