Question
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,I'M HOPING THAT YOU CAN TELL ME THE GOING RATE PER ACRE FOR A GAS/OIL TOP LEASE IN BURLESON,TEXAS,ANY HELP WOULD REALLY BE GREAT ..

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME

Answer
This depends on how much negotiating power you have and it is directly related to the size of your land and the activity level in your area (among other things).  It is also related to the success rate of the wells in your area.

Ask around at your local coffee shop or at church; also, you can ask your neighbors what they got.

You can also research the wells database for your area at the TX railroad commission website below.

Finally, here are some tips for negotiating your lease.
