Question Help! I have been searching for YEARS for the name and artist of a tune I heard in the early 1970s(71-72). What I remember of the lyrics are:
Virginia, be strong,
cause I won't be long,
Virginia, hold on.
I left one morning
in the pouring rain
and from the train I watched you disappear.....
I have searched oldies lists, one-hit-wonder lists and called oldies radio stations. All to no avail.
Any information you can give would be most appreciated.
