Question John, I recorded a song some years ago while listening to
The Doo-Wop Shop on CBS-FM with Don K. Reed. I believe the
song was 'Wishful Thinking' sung by a group with a female lead for this song. It's not Little Anthony. I can't find the tape. See what you can do for me. Thank you for your
time and consideration. Mike from Bayonne NJ
Answer Mike, glad you said not Little Anthony, as that is the one that I am familiar with. Smokey Robinson also sang Wishful Thinking. It is on a couple of his CDs (Pocketful of Miracles, Smoke Signals) and the soundtrack to the movie A Fine Mess. Not a girl group, but his voice is high. It was also sung by an obscure group called Lola & the Saints, but I doubt that that is available. I did a little research using alternate titles like Wishfull Thinkin', but I came up empty.
