Oldies/Song Name

Question
I married a girl named Kay in 1967. Prior to us marrying a male country singer had a song out and part of the lyrics went something like, I'm the one who's still in love with Kay. If anyone could tell me the singer and the name of the song I would appreciate.

Answer
Hi Michael,

The song was called "I'm Still In Love With Kay" and was released in 1962 on United Artists records by an artist named 'Country' Johnny Mathis. He launched his career before the more famous Johnny Mathis and didn't want to give it up. He did allow the record companies to put the word "Country" in front of his name on many of his 45's just to help the public tell the difference.

Thanks for asking,

Lou
