QuestionQUESTION: the words to two songs thank God its Friday and I want you
ANSWER: Hi, Gwen. There are multiple songs for both titles. For Thank God It's Friday, I chose the Love & Kisses version below, just a guess. There is also song by R Kelly and a song titled Low Income by Wyclef Jean in which TGIF is featured in the lyrics. These songs are newer than my 50s knowledge, but if you try again with more info I'll try to do the research for you. Regarding I Want You, there are too many songs for me to guess. There are recordings by Kings of Leon, Third Eye Blind, Kelly Clarkson, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Common, Savage Garden, Fefe Dobson, Elvis Costello, and possibly others. Again, most of these are not on my iPod, but if you could clarify your question, I would try. Following is the TGIF by L&K.
Regards, John
THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY
Love & Kisses
Friday, thank God it's Friday, Friday
Thank God it's Friday, Friday, Friday, Friday
Hey put a smile on your face
Things are coming your way out there
Somewhere tonight it is the right time and place
I saw you baby for the very first time
Couldn't take my eyes off you girl
You just had to be mine
You're the kind that people long for
It just had to be you girl
I know this time I'll make all my dreams come ture
Hey see the stars in his eyes
And the music in you tells you how
You can find your way to paradise
Hey put a smile on your face
Things are coming your way out there
Somewhere tonight it is the right time and place
Hey see the stars in his eyes
Does he value my love

QUESTION: The words to the song I Want you By Marvin Gaye
AnswerHi, Gwen. Lyrics to Marvin Gaye's I want You:
I want you the right way
I want you
But I want you to want me too
Want you to want me, Baby
Just like I want you
I give you all the love I want in return Sweet Darlin'
But half a love is all I feel
It's too bad, It's just too sad
You don't want me now
But I'm gonna change your mind
Someway, somehow, oh baby
(Repeat above)
This one way love is just a fantasy, oh Sugar
To share is precious, pure and fair
Don't play with something you should cherish for life,oh Baby
Don't you wanna care
Ain't it lonely out there
(Repeat above)
(Repeat and fade out)
Regards, John
