Oldies/music lyrics

The song is susie cream cheese. I believe it came out in the mid-seventies. I am really trying to remember the words.

Hi Bill,

"Suzy Creamcheese" was a fictional character created by Frank Zappa and The Mothers Of Invention and is referenced in a few Zappa songs, the first being "The Return Of The Son Of Monster Magnet" from the 1966 debut album, Freak Out!.  This avant garde song begins with the following dialogue:
  Male voice: Suzy?
  Female voice: Yes?
  Male voice: Suzy Creamcheese?
  Female voice: Yes?
Male voice: This is the voice of your conscience baby ... uh, I just want to check one thing out with you ... you don't mind, do ya?
  Female voice: What?
Male voice: Suzy Creamcheese, honey, what's got into ya?

Here is a link to a YouTube recording of the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2R9VHx8YeI You only need to listen to the opening - there is no other real lyrics in the song, other than screams, laughter and unintelligible vocal gymnastics (think early Yoko Ono style vocals).

Another Zappa song based on the character is "Son of Suzy Creamcheese" from his second album with The Mothers Of Invention called Absolutely Free, released in 1967. This one is more of a pop song and is likely the one you remember.

I can answer all questions related to hit songs and pop artists of the rock and roll era. My specialty is U.S. Billboard Top 40 chart history and one hit wonders from 1950's through the 90's. I can also research lyrics to songs. I am more knowledgeable in the area of pop and rock songs, but I am willing to research soul and country songs. I cannot answer questions relating to classical, jazz, or rap songs. Also, I'm not an expert on music videos.

I am an avid reader of Joel Whitburn Top 40 books and a collector of all pop and rock hit songs.

My educational credentials include a college degree in history and over twenty-five years of life experience as a fan of popular music.
