Question
I am looking for the artist who sings the old song "More".  I found a instrumental version by Kai Winding but there was version that came out the early 60's with the words to the song.

Answer
Hello Sylvia,

Everyone seemed to record "More" in 1963. All the usual suspects like Andy Williams, Steve Lawrence, etc. It was a contemporary standard and, depending on which artist's records were around the house, that vocal of "More" would ring in an individual's memory.

As far as a "hit" version, the only vocal I recall charting was by Vic Dana. He did get quite a bit of airplay at the end of that summer, following the much larger success of Kai Winding's terrific "space-age" instrumental rendition.

You'll find it on his "Golden Greats" album (might not be in print on CD) and also on his "Complete Hits Of Vic Dana" collection.

That's likely the one you recall.

Thanks for asking,

Lou
