Just come across this site. The answer to the OP's question is that Jess Conrad recorded "Hey Little Girl in the Powder Blue".

My thanks to ALLExperts for finally putting me out of my agony and naming the tune I had going around in my head for years. The answer was kindly provided as a follow up answer by CHRIS ANORAK on 16/12/2010 and was Hey Little Girl sung by Jess Conrad. Although I periodically checked the answers, this particular answer was on a follow up page and I only noticed it today. Many thanks once again and particular thanks to Chris Anorak although I have no contact for him. Regards Lionsboy2

Hi Andrew,

Pretty sure it is not that one.

Lyrics as follows:-

Hey Little girl in your powder blue

I have got my eye on you

Hey Little girl in your powder blue

Can I sit & talk with you

You'll never know what my poor old heart has been through

Since I saw you

Say little girl in your powder blue

How's about a date with you

It's cheeky I know but what is a fellow to do

Honest & true

I came alive ever since you walked in

You're just the greatest thing I've ever seen

So little girl in your powder blue

Here I am alone with you

............so that's the way I want it to be

Just You & Me

I came alive ever since you walked in

You're just the greatest thing I've ever seen

So little girl in your powder blue

Here I am alone with you

So be my girl that's the way I want it to be

Yeah yeah

But, I don't know the artist just the same, as I would like to get a decent recording of it!!!

I've always thought that this song was written and sung by Del Shannon

Expertise

The decades of music I know best are the 1960's and 1980's, but I have a fair knowledge of songs from other time periods of the rock era as well. I should be able to supply artists' names given a title, and I am also willing to attempt naming songs from lyrics. I enjoy popular music very much and therefore would be happy to put in a bit of time to research questions when I do not know the answers myself

Experience

While I do not have professional experience with music, I have been listening to music and collecting CDs for years. I also enjoy reading and collecting books about songs, as well as books about chart statistics.
