i dont know who sings it or what's it called!  i only know that is a woman who sings it and itis kind of slow. I heard it at starbucks cafe the other night and only some of it stayed with me. it goes:
oooooh child things are gonna get easieeeer,  oooh child things will get briiighter....

i think that is part of the chorus.  i hope you recognize it!   Thanks.

Nice song!  It's called "O-o-h Child" by the Five Stairsteps.  Though they had a bunch of other releases, this was their only big hit, reaching #8 in 1970.  Despite that, they have a greatest hits CD!  It can be seen here:
