Question In my 1994 Olds Cutlass Conv. the climate control sometimes has power (display is on), sometime it is not and sometimes the display is on and I cannot change the settings and other times I can. At best I can control the heat, although it oftens goes full blast and I have no control. The air conditioner never works. Do you have any idea what the problem may be and how to fix it? I just purchased this car and the prior owner had no problems with this system. It just seems to have a mind of its own.

Way out of my area of expertise . In short .. have a qualified ASE Certified technician/GM dealership diagnose the problem . Sounds to me like the climate control unit may be faulty , possibly needing to be replaced.
