Subject: DASHBOARD WARNING SIGN

Question
I have a 1982 olds royale 88, and the dashboard warning sign reads "Infl. Rest." what does it mean?

Answer
Debbie,

This warning light means "Inflatable Restraint" or your airbag. Usually its just a malfunction that a simple diagnostic tool can rule out sensor problems.

I would take your vehicle down to a certified ASE mechanic and have them diagnose the problem. A faulty restraint system is nothing to fool around.

Debbie I hope this helps if you have any more questions please feel free to ask . Don't forget to rate my response to you .

Cheers,

Ed McKenna
