Question
I recently asked about the proportional valve and how to reset it.  I was told how to bleed the system, starting with the MC and then the p valve and then past the rubber hose on the wheel cyl.
My question is if the p valve has been shifted because of a bad line and emptied the master, how do I get it shifted back?
There is a rubber button on the p valve???
I replaced everything.Power Booster, master, calipers, wheel cylinders, got the wrong shoes and blew a wheel cylinder and after that I had pedal again.  Found out I had the wrong shoes and replaced them, bled it and got no pedal again.
How do I reset that P valve?

Answer
HI GREGG, SO YOU HAVE BLED THE SYSTEM AS I SAID AND STILL NO PRESSURE TO THE REAR ??? AS A RULE YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PUSH THIS BOTTON IN TO BLEED THE SYSTEM IN THE REAR..OPNCE THE PRESSURE BUILD UP IN THER P VALVE IT ALLOWS THE FLUID TO FLOW THREW IT.SETTING THE VALVE ONCE AGAIN..ARE YOU SURE YOU HAVE BLED THE REAR WHL CYLINDERS REAL GOOD..LIKE THIS,OPEN ONE OF THE REAR WHEEL CYLINDERS PUT YOUR FINGER OVER THE BLEED VALVE AND HAVE SOMEONE IN THE CAR PUMP THE BRAKES FOR 30 TO 40 TIMES AND SEE IF YOU GET A GOOD AMOUNT OF FLUID TO THE WHEEL CYLINDERS LIKE THIS..THIS WORKS 99.9 % OF THE TIME...IF NOT TRY TO PUSH THE P VALVE IN WHILE SOMEONE PUMPS THE BRAKES..BEING A OLD CAR LIKE THIS THESE VALVES SOMETIMES STICK IN PLACE AND DO NOT MOVE..THIS IS WHY WE CAN ALWAYS GET FLUID TO GO TO THE REAR..ALSO HAVE YOU TRIED TO CRACK THE LINE BEFORE AND AFTER THE P VALVE AND TRY TO BLEED IT LIKE THIS JUST TO SEE IF THERE IS A GODD AMOUNT OF FLUID TO THIS POINT ??? LET ME KNOW HOW THIS WORKS FOR YOU.I WILL BE WAITING..GOOD LUCK TOM. THANKS FOR THE GOOD RATING..
