I can answer most questions concerning 4X4 engine, drive line, suspension, electrical, and fuel, both diesel and gasoline. Ford, GM, and Dodge, old and new, but prefferably not newer than 99.
Question When my car reached 100,000 miles the ABS, Traction Control, and Service Vehicle Lights went on. When I first drive the car, it will go for about eight minutes and then the lights will pop back on. I took the car in to a GM mechanic and they said I need to replace the ABS/Traction Control Module. What do you think? I guess the system also control the crusie control, cause that won't engage when the lights are on, either.

I had a 95 Cutlass act the same way, and after checking all the wheel speed sensors, wires, and everything I could find out about, I still hadn't found anything....till I was behind my wife when she was driving it, and I noticed the stoplight in the rear window wasn't working.
I figured I might as well at least fix that, so I replaced the burnt out bulbs in it and.....lo and behold, the ABS light stayed off. Went for a ride, and even the cruise control worked.
I was so amazed, I removed the new bulbs, and put the burnt out ones back in just to see what would happen.
ABS light back on and no cruise.
Bulbs were the ONLY problem in the first place.
Olds garage claimed they had never heard of that, but I have since then run across it just a few times.
