Hi I have an 199986 Buick Electra Park Avenue, and from one day to the next it started to die, when I berley start the engine. and when I accelerate while driving, it makes a loud "pop" sound coming from the front wheels.and it also does not respond when I accelerate, (i can press the gas pedal all the way down, and still goes veryy sluggish.) and lastls when  the car is on/idle it shakes like if ts running out of gas and has horrible smell that comes from the muffler/exoust.

Hello Adrian,
First thought is a plugged fuel filter. I would connect a pressure tester if possible, and see what it shows.

The other thought is a blown head gasket, considering that terrible smell, but don't jump to that conclusion yet. Is it loosing or using any coolant?
