I am going to be visiting my friend in Oman for the entire month of March. I would like to sharpen my arabic skills. Can you please tell me if there are any services that can assist me with this. Here, in the United States have already been introduced to the alphabet and I am a bit comfortable with some quranic vocabulary. Thank you.

I recently investigated the foreign language section at Barnes and Noble Bookstores, and they have a good deal of starter and advanced programs. You might also want to chick out Borders if you have one near you. You might also check out Arabic programs by Rosetta Stone, who come out with a line of software for a wide variety of languages. You might also check your local phone directory. For instance, I live in the DC area and know of several Arabic language services.
