Expertise
I am a seasoned traveler and resident in the Middle East. I can answer most questions about the Eastern gulf: cultural, historical geographical, as well as travel logistics. I specialize in tours to Oman but can also handle other countries in the GCC ( UAE, Qatar, etc.) I don`t do Yemen, at least not yet.

Answer
It is getting relatively easier to go to Oman these days.  Visas can be obtained on demand upon arrival, but I suggest that you go through one of the local travel agencies or through the hotel where you plan to stay.  A  web search will give you many options.  Many of the major hotel chains are available:

Intercontinental
Hyatt
Sheraton
Radisson
Ramada
Howard Johnson
Hilton
Crowne Plaza

Rental cars and other tourist services are easily obtainable as well. (Make sure you have an international driver's licence.

Regards,

Peachey
