AboutDoug Bank Expertise I know a great deal about all aspect of testicular cancer. I am a testicular cancer survivor, and have run a testicular cancer website since 1996. If I do not know the answer to a question, I have access to a number of my own world-class experts to get the correct answer.
Please note that I am not an expert when it comes to other cancers. If your question involves something other than testicular cancer or a cancer of that general region, please ask another expert.
Question I have had seminoma without signs of spread, I had a chest xray and it is showing something and now I am going for a CT scan tomorrow. Now the thing is I have just recovered from Bronchitis and am wondering if that could be the cause of the xray showing something suspicious, I forgot to tell the doctor I had bronchitis so they don't know, but I have told the nurse now when she called me.
Answer They should be able to tell the difference between these things. Did you have a CT scan of your chest when you were first diagnosed? Can they compare the two?
How long has it been since the orchiectomy? What was your original treatment - surveillance or radiation or what?
