About Christopher M
Expertise My wife passed away August of 2002 after we were married for just over a year and a half. She was diagnosed with Lymphoma Cancer a week to the day after we wed.
Please limit questions to this particular cancer, and I can pretty much find resources for you if you are having problems finding what you need. I can also offer advice on how to deal with the emotional strains and things along this line. In all, I can be an ear when you need someone to listen, or a shoulder to lean or cry on.
I CAN NOT ANSWER DOCTOR QUESTIONS ABOUT CONDITIONS OR SUCH AS I AM NOT A DOCTOR. I am only knowledgeable in the basics of the cancer (especially lymphoma) and what to expect and other questions like this.
Experience I AM NOT A DOCTOR AND DO NOT ANSWER DOCTOR QUESTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately many don't seem to read this part and I continue to get questions I can not answer. I can ONLY answer general questions regarding cancer and specifically Lymphoma.

Question QUESTION: "Im a 36 yr old healthy female an im so worried bout this ..For the past three weeks to a mth i have a swollen gland on my right side of my groin...it is sentive to touch an painful wen i touch it sit an walk , my doctor gave me a antiobtic an its not helping so my #1 fear is cancer , I feel fine i have no other symptoms just the symptoms i told u above...so i hope u can ease my mind ...THANK you
ANSWER: My first question would be what the doctor told you it was and what tests he did. Second, did YOU ask HIM/HER if there was a possibility of cancer? My personal thought is that is probably not cancer as there are no other symptoms.
Your best plan is to get in touch with this doctor again and ask questions. Just because he is a doctor does not mean he should not fill you in on what is being done and why. You are the patient and you have the right to know everything about your treatments and ailment causes.

QUESTION: Thank u so much, my doctor just told me to give it time to go away???How long does it take for lymppnode to get normal again? so i would have other symptoms? im getting blood work done.....What is the possiilty this could be??
Answer I don't like your doctors answer. If this has been present for a month, it needs to get checked. I would either tell the doctor to do some tests or a biopsy to see what it IS, or get another doctor who will.
I have found several pages on this subject with a search of the term "swollen lymph nodes." Here is a link to one of them. http://www.emedicinehealth.com/swollen_lymph_glands/article_em.htm
It does a pretty good job of answering a lot of questions.
MOST of the time there will be other symptoms as listed among the pages of that link. However, since you stated the node has been there for at least a month, that needs to be checked out.
