Oncology (General Cancer)/discouraged with chemo

I am a 73 yo male being treated for NHL (DLBCL) with 6 rounds of R-EPOCH. The chemo knocks me down after every round, after the 4th round, which I finished a month ago, I never bounced back. I got so anemic I needed blood transfusion, I feel tired and weak all the time. I am very discouraged at the thought of two more rounds. I am going to have a re-staging PET scan, if it shows good results, what are the risks of my not having the last two rounds of chemo? Thanks.

The condition you have is quite an aggressive lymphoma so probably all the chemotherapy you can get is needed! This is a discussion you MUST have with your doctors! In view of the seriousness of your condition I do not dare to interfere in any way! Good luck!
