Oncology (General Cancer)/Level 2 7 mm lymph node

I had a c spine MRI with an incidental finding of a level 2 --7mm lymph node.
This past August, I was dx with VIN2 secondary to long standing lichen sclerosis. When I had 2 areas of VIN2 removed, the margins were clear and there was no lymph node involvement. A 9 month follow up was normal.
I am a non smoker.
I was dx with indifferentiated connective tissue disease causing chronic inflammation

What can cause a level 2 7mm lymph node unchanged compared to an MRI from a year earlier?

It may be caused by your neoplasia, but it is not certain. To be certain a biopsy - if possible - is necessary. It may be possible to do a needle biopsy of the lymph node with MRI guidance but it is far from certain with such a small lymph node in this position. If the lymph node also can be "seen" with ultrasound it may be easier. Good luck!
