Oncology (General Cancer)/Discoloration on ear

Hello, I've had this patch of discoloured skin on my ear for at least a few years, never thought anything of it. Upon closer inspection I realized it looks like a freckle with a ring around it and it is slightly raised. After touching it for a few minutes it began to feel sore and achey, just wondering if it's a normal skin variation or something to be concerned about. Thank you in advance.

I  would suggest that you consult a dermatologist who could exactly examine and confirm whether the skin is normal or not. You need to be aware of your family history and the place of work in case you are exposed to any kind of radiation and provide all the information to the concerned doctor.
At this point of time I cannot say anything much with this limited information so request you to consult a dermatologist
