Question
Amazon.com advertises that by ordering from them and combining several products into one order, we can save money on shipping.  So I ordered about 6 products looking for shipping and handling costs with each order.  Nothing was outlined.
At FAQ and at checkout, nothing was revealed about the cost of shipping, even tho the orders would be placed with separate vendors.  At final checkout, they say an e-mail will confirm the order and the total costs. Which did arrive, after the order was confirmed and finalized.  Too late at that point to change my mind.  No phone numbers to call anyone on the site.
Turns out that it is costing me $25 to ship from the separate Vendors.  The shoes have free delivery, but the Amazon .com site charges handling.  If I ordered the shoes (one example) on my own, it would have been free delivery and no handling costs.
This is not an ethical way to do business.  Who is the reporting agency for this matter?  It's false advertisement and lack of  full disclosure.
Is there actually a web site where orders can be combined for less shipping costs or do they all operate this way without any oversight authority?
Marcia

Answer
Sorry to hear about this.
First talk to a manger.  You may get more and faster without the paperwork.  Talk, never yell or threaten.
If that fails, then file a
Better Business Bureau report.

And file with your state Attorney General.

I offer discounts on shipping with orders like this.
Good luck,
John
