Question
"Hi i have a question - im setting up a website, my business is based in british columbia canada, i sell online pens and pencils - really cool ones. So i want to ship internationally (the highest cost of my items are 50 bucks. Can i just ship internationally or are there issues to that? if i had a customer in the US can i ship to them no problem or are there issues associated with that or can i just ship anywhere? Will there be problems with customs etc? I plan on using purolator whom i have a great deal with. any advice on that?"

Answer
Hello,
You will need to find out if the country you plan on shipping to has a ban on the item or restriction.  Some have weird things.
Then you will have to deal with customs.

Now I do not know about purolator, but I know UPS handles overseas customs, at least what I am told.  So you may want to call purolator and ask if they do customs or if you will need to file the paperwork.

However, even if they handle customs, you may still have paperwork to do.  Like I said above, you will need to check what items you can ship into a country.  You may what to with Canada also, there may be paperwork for shipping overseas.

Overseas is a lot of set up, but from what I am told, it is like everything else, once set easy.

I am always looking for new products to sell.
Good luck,
John
