Question Hi,
I wanted to order a product online to be delivered to outside US but the online facility only cater to US, though delivery can be made to country outside US. The webmaster suggest me to email my order. My question is, the order form requires me to disclose the CVC 3-digit code of my credit card and I wonder if this is necessary to process my order. Assuming it is necessary, wouldn't that expose me to credit risk? Or is such practice requiring the security code disclosure a norm? I am new to this.
Answer Hello,
Several website are now requesting the CVC code but it is not necessary to process the order. You could send them a different code and the order should still go through. I have done that in the past by error, entering the wrong number and it doesn't affect the charge.
