You can count on a couple of fingers the amount of experts who understand Caruso's technique Franco Corelli had to work it out for himself and Pavarotti's father taught him, but saying that, you are not a dramatic tenor just because your ringing, if you are truly ringing it is a sign that you are pretty natural, something opera coaches & singers theses days don't seem to no anything about. There are books by Master's of Voice from the Golden era including from Caruso.  If you are singing naturally & with an open throat your lucky you haven't been ruined by a bad teacher yet. Be very very careful.  99% of Opera singers these days are (big names included)Pretty bad and have woeful technique and all the fake experts will tell you how good they are.
