Opera/trying to locate recording.

QUESTION: Over 15 years ago I was on the phone speaking to someone, I heard this lovely music in the background, when  I questioned the caller, he said it was from a CD called Diva's, the person I heard singing was Maria Callas. Periodically I have tried to locate that CD to no avail, I'm sure it has assorted artist's & recorded many years ago. Any help from someone out there would be greatly apprecialted. THANK YOU!

ANSWER: Hi Janet,
Callas made an album called La Divina. I'm guessing that's what you are looking for. Amazon has it available.
Best, Pamela

QUESTION: Thanks but I think the CD I heard had several differnt artist's, I was told it was Diva's, plural, the particular song I heard, Maria Callas. Does anything else come to mind, THANKS!

Hi Janet,

Here are a couple of albums where you might find it - at least Maria Callas is on it (as well as other great singers! - Leontyne Price is my favorite of all time!)

Here is a combined opera album that Callas is on - and you can hear excerpts

And here is a site with the 100 "best" arias from Callas - maybe you'll find it here

Sorry I can't be of more help.  Doesn't your friend know the album?  This is a tough one…
