Question
Where can I find a synopsis of the 4 act version (the opéra féerie) of Offenbach's 'Orphée aux enters'?

Answer
Hi George,

Here are some of the versions I found...  Offenbach originally wrote it in two acts - only later did he expand it to four acts.

http://www.britannica.com/topic/Orpheus-in-the-Underworld

And if you'd like to see the score - check this site out:

http://imslp.org/wiki/Orphée_aux_enfers_(Offenbach,_Jacques)

And here are two French versions:

http://www.opera-online.com/fr/items/works/orphee-aux-enfers-halevy-offenbach-18
http://www.lamediatheque.be/travers_sons/op_off01.htm

And here is one more synopsis in French - it is more detailed:

http://www.matelots.be/html/repertoire/orphee.html

Best of luck!
