Question My 84 year old mother is having headaches, neck pain, dizziness and is seeing "red bugs" that come and go. We've called her GP and he reccomends taking her to her eye doctor. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

These could be floaters that come with age related changes and degeneration in the internal parts of the eye like the vitreous.
However, considering her age and that the diagnosis requires a dilated eye check, please take her to an eye clinic.
