Expert: Dr Anand Shroff, MD, FICS
Date: 5/16/2008
Subject: new glasses/dizziness
Question My daughter just got her first pair of glasses. She says that when she takes them off she feels dizzy for 1 or 2 minutes afterward. She feels fine wearing them and sees clearly. Is the dizziness normal? Thank you.
Answer Dear Anne,
This may have to do with the adjustment to a new pair and foccusing.
Give it a few days, if it persists, take her back to her treating physician for an opinion as this wil then need a check up to see that she is using the correct prescription and not something too strong for her.
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Dr Shroff
