Question Hello,
I am 26 years old. Yesterday, I my eye felt like something was in it and I did rub it a bit. This morning, when I woke up my eye felt the same way and a bit dry. I can see a small bubble like bump on the white part of my right eye. I am on vacation and not sure if I should go to the doctor right away or if it can wait. It does not hurt but is very annoying.
Answer It's OK. If it's new, bubble-like, it is a conjunctival cyst, but if it is adjacent to the colored part of the eye, raised bump at the 3 or 9 o'clock position, it's probably not new and also not a worry, called a pinguecula. They sometimes go away without treatment, or simple "red eye" drops can help.
Hope this helps.
