You are here: Experts > Health/Fitness > Medical Specialists > Ophthalmology & Optometry > eye flashes of light
Expert: Dr Anand Shroff, MD, FICS - 10/26/2009
Question What are eye flashes 0f light from. I would like to get rid of them. I also feel like there is something in my eye when there isn't. I take Restasis for dry eye syndrome. I have been told that I may never stop having the flashes. Of course, they are worse at night, but my right eye, where they appear, never feels normal. I have been to two Optometrists.
Answer Dear Linda,
The dry eyes is not associated with the flashes of light. This is another entity insode the eyes and is not pathological.
