Ophthalmology & Optometry - contact redness

Expert: Mitchell Axelrod - 7/6/2009

Question
I wear contact lenses and sometimes one of my eyes turns completly red
and I take them out and it goes away after a couple days. And when its
red it makes it kinda blury and watery. Do u know what this could be
from??

Answer
Hi Dulce,
You've described (no kidding) a contact lens related problem...It could be the lenses themselves or a defective one, a solution problem (likely), or a fitting problem.  You'll need to see your doctor to have these things checked out.  Meanwhile, stop using the contacts and let your eyes stay healthy.
