Ophthalmology & Optometry/anti biotics


I've been taking doxycycline for 2 weeks, have noticed minuscule tadpoles swimming in my eyes. Each one has a bright tip. Like little worms. Have I just seen them, in other words have they always been there.(ie. nothing to do with anti biotic?)

I'm aged 59, kept good health, not diabetic (been tested many times) until May 2013, then developed swollen finger, then swollen hand, then jaw, then knee, then got abscess on my tummy, then abscess on my buttock. Any ideas?

Dear Sheila. The swimming tadpoles have nothing to do with the doxycycline you're taking. Rather , they are debris and cells floating in the vitreous and are harmless. The abscesses are from an infection and that's why you're take the antibiotic.   You're internist or
