Ophthalmology & Optometry/Natural mono vision

Hi- I have natural mono vision- distance in right eye and left for near. I am having trouble driving as my distance vision is not as good. I am 46 yrs old with no health issues but have dry eye. My reading vision is still good. My doctor doesn't seem to know what to do. With the dry eye he doesn't want to try a contact yet. Also, I noticed my driving vision seems better when I can wear sunglasses- not sure why. But there's not sun everyday. I also notice a lot of floaters when driving without the sunglasses. It's very hard to focus.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Females in the mid forties seem to do well on topical cyclosporine eyedrops (Restasis) , ocular lubricants , and/or punctal plugs. Pro clear contact lenses or 1 Day  Acuvue Moist seem to work well on the marginally dry eyed patients.  If the floaters are very annoying,  They can be vaporized and eliminated with a Yag Laser .   Give it a try.   Good luck.    Dr Ken
