Ophthalmology & Optometry/Eye pain

Dear Dr. Berger,

I have been experiencing pain in my right eye for a few months now. Also experiencing head pain on the right side as well. I just had an eye exam and my eyes are healthy and they found nothing out of the ordinary. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? It's quite painful. Thank you.

Allison Kinch

Dear Allison   I pain can occur from many different elements among some of them are sinus problems, migraine, dry eye, scleritis ,epi scleritis, hordeolum, optic neuritis, compressive lesions, and so forth.  Eye pain is not normal so see you internist and another eye doctor for a second opinion.  Good luck.
