QUESTION: In your opinion, which is cheaper as an expense, wearing eye glasses or contact lenses.

Any tips will be appreciated.

ANSWER: The answer is it depends   It depends if eyeglasses are made with plastic, polycarbonate, high index, anti glare, scratch resistant , ultra thins , transitions, single vision, bifocals, progressives, ( low end vs high end as Autograph , Varilux Comfort, ),  also plain simple frames vs. Designer ranging from $200-2000.  Contact lenses are vary in cost depending on the Doctors fitting fee, follow up care, type of lenses prescribed , for example , PMMA,, rigid gas permeable, hydrogelS,Mdaily wear, extended wear , Torics, multi focal, mono vision, opaques, keratoconic, etc.  All of which can affect the cost.   Good luck with your decision.  Dr Berger

That's a personal decision of yours.  All contact lens wearers have back
Up eyeglasses  I've been wearing contact lenses for over 35 years, my two daughters were former contact Lens wearers until they had LASIK refractive surgery to correct their myopia and both have eyeglasses now for night driving  .  If you take care of your contact lenses and follow the doctors protocol , the risk of complications and infection are minimal

Although surgery is not within the realm of my area of expertise, I co-manage many pre and post -op surgical cases which include Lasik and PRK procedures.
