Question Hello,
Two weeks ago I went in for a contact lens exam. i used to wear acuvue2 contacts but now i switched to acuvue2 color contacts. Since I started using the new color contacts, I've been having sort of this blurry/hazy vision. it's not that bad, but it does feel a little uncomfortable, since it only disturbs my peripheral vision somewhat. I've noticed that the BC of my color contacts(8.3) is different than the old prescription contacts I wore(8.7). Could that be the reason I'm having this blurry vision? I didn't have any problems with the regular acuvue2 contacts.
Answer The change in base curve could account for your blurred vision as well as the discomfort. You need to go back to your doctor who prescribed the lenses and see if the problem can be fixed. I wonder, however, if you were having no problems with your old lenses, why did you switch? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
