Question
Hello Sir,

I have a question!! i have configured and installed oracle software on Linux platform, so once i have done installation can i remove kernel parameters?. Please brief me regarding this..

Thank You,
Seshu

Answer
Hi Seshu,

http://slashzeroconf.wordpress.com/2008/01/24/how-to-permanently-set-kernel-para provides information on how to permanently keep the configuration (note that should you change the configuration you will need to update your files accordingly).

When the server reboots, the kernel parameters revert back to default, thus impacting your database instance when you start it up again.

I hope this helps.
